Citrus Hill extends road losing streak to three

Recap: Citrus Hill Hawks vs. Perris Panthers

The Citrus Hill Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Perris. Citrus Hill has struggled against Perris recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Perris was led to victory by E'Niece Ray and Alia Martin. Ray scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Martin scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Martin posted two or more blocks.

Citrus Hill bumped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Perris, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.

Citrus Hill on the road again on Monday and play against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Hopefully Liberty focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday. As for Perris, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Jacinto at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Jacinto is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
