Basketball Recap: Grandview Prep Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Grandview Prep had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.9 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Martin County Tigers 78-46. The Pride have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Karolina Ramirez, who posted 15 points. Ramirez continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Pire, who earned ten points and five rebounds.

Grandview Prep's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.6 points. As for Martin County, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-6.

Grandview Prep has already played their next contest, a 96-34 victory against American Heritage on the 31st. As for Martin County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 85-13 win against South Fork on the 31st.
