It was fun while it lasted, but Harvard-Westlake's undefeated season came to an end after six games on Saturday. They fell just short of the Oaks Christian Lions by a score of 1-0. The loss put an end to the Wolverines' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Harvard-Westlake fell to 6-1. As for Oaks Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-0-1.

Harvard-Westlake will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Byron Nelson at 9:00 a.m. on January 2, 2025. Oaks Christian will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Buena at 6:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Buena's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
