Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Wray/Yuma

Wray/Yuma extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday, bumping them up to 11-10. Everything went their way against the Holyoke Dragons as they made off with a 13-2 win. Considering the Eagles have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Danyelle Davis was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of London King, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Wray/Yuma always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

As for Holyoke, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly 11 runs.

On Holyoke's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Schlachter, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Looking ahead, Wray/Yuma is taking a road trip to take on Burlington at 3:30 p.m. on the 9th. As for Holyoke, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Limon at 12:00 p.m. on the 11th.
