Baseball Recap: Northeast Takes a Loss

Northeast couldn't beat East Laurens on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Raiders came up short against the Falcons, falling 18-10. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Tuesday.

Bryce Talley was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Northeast's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 2-1 (and 7-16 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Zavier Hutchings, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for East Laurens, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-14.

As of now, neither Northeast nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
