Baseball Game Preview: Parkview Panthers vs. Meadowcreek Mustangs

Parkview is a perfect 8-0 against Meadowcreek since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Parkview Panthers will host the Meadowcreek Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Parkview's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Meadowcreek has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Parkview is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Marist on Tuesday. They fell just short of the War Eagles by a score of 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Malachi Washington made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. He is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as he's now launched at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ellis Appling, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Meadowcreek fell victim to Peachtree Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Lions.

Parkview's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Meadowcreek, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Everything went Parkview's way against Meadowcreek when the teams last played back in March of 2020, as Parkview made off with an 11-0 win. Will Parkview repeat their success, or does Meadowcreek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
