Football Recap: Shields Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Shields's offense. They had to suffer through a 62-0 loss at the hands of the McIntosh Demons. The Panthers have struggled against the Demons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Jayden Brown, who rushed for 130 yards and four scores on only ten carries for McIntosh. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Brown a new career-high.

Shields' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for McIntosh, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Shields will welcome Marengo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shields will be up against Marengo's rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.22 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for McIntosh, they will challenge Fruitdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Demons will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.56 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
