Football Game Preview: Shepherd Hill Regional Rams vs. Marblehead Magicians + Official Tickets

The Shepherd Hill Regional Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Marblehead Magicians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shepherd Hill Regional is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

On Friday, Shepherd Hill Regional strolled past Marlborough with points to spare, taking the game 28-13. The Rams' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Devin Rowden was his usual excellent self, rushing for 145 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 145 rushing yards.

Rowden was just one part of a punishing run game: Shepherd Hill Regional was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 219 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 206 rushing yards in ten consecutive games dating back to last season.

Despite a strong season so far, Marblehead has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost to Danvers at home by a 21-7 margin on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Magicians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Shepherd Hill Regional's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Marblehead, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Shepherd Hill Regional came up short against Marblehead in their previous matchup back in September, falling 35-22. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
