Basketball Recap: Jenkintown Takes a Loss

Jenkintown was the 33-29 winner over Delaware County Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Jenkintown Drakes took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Delaware County Christian Knights on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Drakes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while the Knights are ranked 218th).

Jenkintown is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9. As for Delaware County Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jenkintown will face off against Morrisville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Jenkintown's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Morrisville's offense will have their work cut out for them. Delaware County Christian has already played their next game (against Sacred Heart Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
