Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Preparatory Rams vs. Piedmont Academy Cougars

The Heritage Preparatory Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Piedmont Academy Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Preparatory hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Heritage Preparatory came up short against Cristo Rey Atlanta on Friday, falling 14-2.

Heritage Preparatory saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Hudgins, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Academy played in-conference for the first time on Wednesday and got just the result they were looking for. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Mount de Sales Academy. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Heritage Preparatory's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Piedmont Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
