Baseball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson extended their losing streak to 20 on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-21. They lost 11-0 to the El Camino Colts. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 21, 2017, but that streak is no more.

Jefferson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Santiago, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

As for El Camino, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-5. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

On El Camino's side, the team relied heavily on Carlos Alcala, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Adrian I?iguez was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for El Camino, they will take on Lincoln at 12:00 p.m. on the 23rd. The Colts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
