Football Game Preview: Mohawk Area Warriors vs. Riverside Panthers + How To Watch

The Mohawk Area Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Riverside Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mohawk Area is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Freedom Area: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Warriors blew the Bulldogs out of the water with a 29-0 final score. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mohawk Area to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bobby Fadden, who threw for 145 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 54 yards. That's the most passing yards Fadden has posted since back in August. Lucas Stratton was another key back, rushing for 97 yards and two TDs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Riverside, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They had just enough and edged out Beaver Falls 21-18.

Riverside now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Mohawk Area, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Mohawk Area was able to grind out a solid win over Riverside in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 23-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
