Basketball Recap: Avonworth Triumphs

Avonworth won the last time they faced Elizabeth Forward and things went their way on Friday too. The Avonworth Antelopes came out on top against the Elizabeth Forward Warriors by a score of 64-55.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michelle Jellison, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Mckenna Bittner, who earned 11 points.

The win got Avonworth back to even at 1-1. As for Elizabeth Forward, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.

Avonworth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-47 victory against Taylor Allderdice on the 10th. As for Elizabeth Forward, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-75 defeat against Bethel Park on the 7th.
