The result was an unpleasant reminder to Wapsie Valley of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Wapsie Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Waterloo West, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2-1.
