Basketball Recap: East Union Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Central Catholic came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against East Union, but Julianna Gaspar wouldn't allow it. The East Union Lancers took down the Central Catholic Raiders 46-28 on Tuesday thanks in part to Gaspar, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Zyondupree Beasley, who posted six points in addition to ten boards and four steals. She is becoming a predictor of East Union's success: when she posts at least ten boards the team is 11-4 (and 1-2 when she doesn't).

East Union is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Central Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

East Union wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-39 win against Patterson on the 9th. As for Central Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-23 defeat against Mountain House on the 9th.
