Football Recap: Hobart Keeps Hammond Morton's Under Pressure

After losing to Hammond Morton the last time they met, Hobart decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Brickies came out on top against the Governors by a score of 29-18 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Brickies.

Aleks Tatum produced another solid performance rushing for 114 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 151 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Those 114 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hobart's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Terry Earvin: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles.

Hobart's record now sits at 6-2. As for Hammond Morton, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Hobart didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-0 win against Highland on the 17th. As for Hammond Morton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 58-6 victory against East Chicago Central on the 17th.
