Soccer Recap: Strathmore Takes a Loss

Strathmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Monache Marauders, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Marauders are ranked 91st).

Strathmore's loss dropped their record down to 0-4-2. As for Monache, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strathmore is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will challenge Exeter on Friday. Exeter will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Strathmore surely won't give up without a fight. As for Monache, they will head out to face off against Granite Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Monache is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.
