Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian suffered their biggest defeat since December 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Village Christian Crusaders, falling 62-39. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Village Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddy Boquiren, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 16 points and seven assists. The dominant performance gave Boquiren a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Madison Mulligan, who went 6 of 13 en route to 14 points and eight steals.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Village Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a massive bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Heritage Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Village Christian has also already played their next match, a 54-31 defeat against Valencia on the 5th.
