Recap: Lincoln Tigers vs. Huntington Park Spartans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Legacy, the Lincoln Tigers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 27-25 win over Huntington Park. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lincoln also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2019.
Despite the loss, Huntington Park still got an impressive performance from Ingryd Hernandez, who scored 11 points. Hernandez scored a full 44% of Huntington Park's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Huntington Park, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Torres at 4:00 p.m. on December 6th. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Torres: 21.8, Lincoln: 27.8) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Huntington Park, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. Roosevelt comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
