Soccer Game Preview: Northside vs. Houston County

Northside is 0-10 against Houston County since March of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Northside's victory against Peach County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Trojans 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Northside as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Houston County). They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Coffee two weeks ago. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Houston County considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Houston County pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three games. As for Northside, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
