Softball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside couldn't beat Decatur on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Vikings came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 16-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in August.

Macie Williamson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Willow Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Decatur, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lakeside will square off against rival Arabia Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Decatur is set to face off against their familiar foe Woodward Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
