Basketball Recap: Yorba Linda Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Yorba Linda can now relate to. They took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corona del Mar Sea Kings on Thursday. The Mustangs lost against the Sea Kings in their previous head to head back in December of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 51-22 score last time.

Yorba Linda's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Corona del Mar, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Yorba Linda does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Corona del Mar, they will challenge Chino at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Chino sitting on nine straight victories and Corona del Mar on four.
