Volleyball Recap: Fremont Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Fremont waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lincoln High Links. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 25-14.

Fremont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jenna Ellsworth, who had 12 digs. That's the most digs Ellsworth has posted over her last eight contests. Mallory Meyer also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Fremont was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive games.

Fremont's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Lincoln High, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Fremont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Pius X on the 18th. As for Lincoln High, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Benson on the 18th.
