Colquitt County took an eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Richmond Hill, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Packers never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Packers have posted since October 1, 2024.

Colquitt County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Richmond Hill, they moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
