Baseball Recap: College Park Comes Up Short

College Park and Alhambra squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but College Park had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 11-4.

Sebastian Alvarez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

College Park's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Alhambra, their record is now 15-9.

College Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alhambra, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-6 loss against Granada on the 22nd.
