Softball Game Preview: Bennington Badgers vs. Waverly Vikings

The Bennington Badgers will take on the Waverly Vikings at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bennington is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Bennington came up short against Blair on Thursday, falling 14-4.

Bennington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrienne Trebil, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waverly). They blew past Hastings 16-6 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Tenley Peery was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and one double while going 4-for-5. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Reagan Glassburner was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Waverly was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They are 10-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Waverly's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Bennington, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-13.
