Soccer Game Preview: Springfield vs. Greeneview

The Springfield Wildcats will face off against the Greeneview Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Springfield's offense. They lost 9-0 to Fairmont on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Springfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Fairmont are ranked 25th).

Meanwhile, Greeneview also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Legacy Christian Academy on Saturday, falling 3-0.

Greeneview's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Springfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Springfield skirted past Greeneview 2-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
