Alicia Souza leads Hilmar to victory over Golden Valley

The Hilmar Yellowjackets won the last time they faced the Golden Valley Cougars, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Hilmar blew past Golden Valley 50-28. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hilmar.

Alicia Souza went supernova for Hilmar, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emma Gomes , who scored 8 points along with 12 rebounds.

Hilmar's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Golden Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilmar will square off against Sonora at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Sonora focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. Golden Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Riverbank at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th.
