Soccer Recap: Anderson Takes a Loss

After flying high against Central Valley last Thursday, Anderson came back down to earth. The Anderson Cubs lost 5-0 to the Yreka Miners on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cubs of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Anderson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-1 record this season. As for Yreka, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.

Anderson wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-0 defeat against West Valley on the 30th. As for Yreka, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Lassen on the 30th.
