Football Recap: Cheylin Comes Up Short

Cheylin extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They had to suffer through a 47-12 loss at the hands of the Ingalls Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 48-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

As for Ingalls, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Among those leading the charge was Keegan Nothern, who rushed for 121 yards and one score. He was even better on defense, forcing one fumble and making 12 total tackles. Jackson Combs made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Cheylin and Ingalls will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars will face off against rival Northern Valley on Friday. Meanwhile, Ingalls is set to square off against their familiar foe Rolla on Friday.
