Flag Football Game Preview: Gunn Titans vs. Los Gatos Wildcats + How To Watch

The Gunn Titans will square off against the Los Gatos Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Gunn turned things around against Mountain View on Monday. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 14-7.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Los Gatos over Santa Clara in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. The Wildcats enjoyed a cozy 34-19 victory over the Bruins. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Bruins are ranked 365th).

Los Gatos' win came from a few key players Gunn will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Paige Purcell, who rushed for 62 yards and one TD on only seven carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards she has posted over her last eight matchups. Another player making a difference was Helena Younan, who threw for 335 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 73.8% of her passes.

Los Gatos didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Taylor Payne led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Los Gatos' win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Gunn, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
