Highlands had to suffer through a 50-9 loss at the hands of Lindhurst. The Scots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-9.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Rio Vista's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 40-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills.

Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Rio Vista, they now have a losing record at 12-13.

Highlands took a serious blow against Rio Vista when the teams last played back in January, falling 54-12. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rio Vista's Samiah Holley, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 12 boards, and 11 steals.
