Basketball Recap: Pinewood Skates Past Oxnard with Ease

Pinewood won against Clovis North on Thursday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Oxnard Yellowjackets 61-31. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Pinewood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Andri Wilkinson led the charge by dropping a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Those 13 points gave Wilkinson a new career-high. Abigail Yew was another key player, going 6-for-10 to rack up 16 points and five boards.

Pinewood's record is now 2-0. As for Oxnard, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3.
