Football Recap: Liberty Falls Short of Arbor View in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Liberty and Arbor View squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Liberty had to settle for second. They fell 41-28 to the Aggies. It was the first time this season that the Patriots let down their fans at home.

Despite the loss, Liberty still got an impressive performance from Kellen Iwamuro, who picked up 73 receiving yards and one score. The Patriots also got a significant boost from Selby Griego, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 142 yards.

Arbor View was led to victory by Kamareion Bell and Thaddeus Thatcher. Bell gained 186 total yards and two touchdowns, while Thatcher threw for 196 yards and three TDs. Thatcher is becoming a predictor of the Aggies' success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

Liberty suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 9-2. As for Arbor View, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arbor View, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bishop Gorman at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th. The Aggies will need to watch out since the Gaels have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
