Dexter never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Cobre Indians 50-0. The result was nothing new for the Demons, who have now won four games by 27 points or more so far this season.

Garet Gonzalez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 154 yards and four scores on only nine carries. Cj Granados was another major influence, as he rushed for 37 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Dexter was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 285 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 171 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Cobre saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zayden Jimenez rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries.

Dexter pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.3 points on average over those games. As for Cobre, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Dexter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 48-0 victory against Ruidoso on the 10th. As for Cobre, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-0 defeat against New Mexico Military Institute on the 10th.
