Soccer Recap: Capital Falls Short Against Ranked La Cueva

Capital faced La Cueva in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Jaguars fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1. One thing that didn't help Capital's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Darian Monge.

Capital's goal came courtesy of Jorge Moreno, who's now up to two this season.

Capital dropped their record down to 9-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for La Cueva, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1-1.

Capital wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against Manzano on the 4th. As for La Cueva, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-3 win against Santa Fe on the 4th.
