Football Recap: Lansdowne Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Chesapeake last Saturday, Lansdowne came back down to earth. The Vikings had to suffer through a 40-6 loss at the hands of the Patapsco Patriots. The Vikings have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Ayeden Butler threw for 114 yards and one TD. Daion Wheeler was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Kwame Jackson rushed for 26 yards.

A big part of Patapsco's win came down to the chemistry between Wyatt Perry and his top target Nick Adkins Jr. Perry threw for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes while Adkins Jr picked up 80 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Perry's passing game has become a key predictor of Patapsco's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Lansdowne's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Patapsco, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lansdowne will face off against Loch Raven at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Patapsco, they will take on Chesapeake at 12:00 p.m. on the 25th.
