Basketball Recap: Weston Ranch Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Weston Ranch took on Wood on Friday. The Weston Ranch Cougars fell 34-22 to the Wood Wildcats. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Weston Ranch still got an impressive performance from Lila Harper, who posted four points in addition to 13 boards and seven steals. Harper has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.

Leading Wood to victory were Mikyah Dixon and Amiyah Murry. Dixon had 11 points along with five boards and three steals, while Murry almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Dixon a new career-high in blocks (three). Nateyah Ebuen was another key player, putting up three points and six boards.

Weston Ranch is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6. As for Wood, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
