Soccer Recap: Tift County Comes Up Short

Tift County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Colquitt County Packers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Packers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 two weeks ago.

Tift County's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Colquitt County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Tift County will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Crisp County at 7:30 p.m. Crisp County's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Colquitt County, they will take on Valdosta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
