Football Recap: Savio Takes a Loss

Savio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Concordia Lutheran Crusaders, falling 53-8. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1019th, while the Crusaders are ranked 376th).

Savio's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Concordia Lutheran, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Savio wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 51-14 loss against St. Michael's on the 24th. As for Concordia Lutheran, they have also already played their next game, a 20-15 defeat against St. Thomas Catholic on the 24th.
