MaxPreps Top 25 high school football scores: No. 7 Bishop Gorman bounces back with 14-0 win over No. 9 Santa Margarita

Don Bosco Prep snaps No. 14 Bergen Catholic's 15-game win streak with 14-9 victory.

No. 7 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.) bounced back with a 14-0 win over No. 9 Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) after suffering its first loss of the season against No. 6 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.)

Junior cornerback Kamil Loud got the Gaels off to a quick start with a 40-yard pick-six on the third play of the game to put the Las Vegas power up 7-0. Sophomore running back Noah Cole punched it in from 2-yards out to increase the lead to 14-0 right before halftime.

Bishop Gorman's defense dominated from start to finish posting its third shutout of the season. They are allowing 8.5 points per game as they wrapped up out-of-state competition with a 4-1 record. 

Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, Ala.) upset No. 19 Thompson (Alabaster, Ala.) 28-24 on Thursday after four-star senior Corey Barber scored three touchdowns.



The Ole Miss commit scored had two rushing touchdowns and a receiving score from quarterback Aaron Frye to give the Cougars the lead with under four minutes to play.

Thompson quarterback Trent Seaborn had three touchdown passes and led the Warriors to the Cougars 24-yard line with two minutes left. 

The Clay-Chalkville defense stepped up four plays in a row and Keith Richmond sacked Seaborn on fourth down to seal the victory. 

In New Jersey, the Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey) defense held off the offense of No. 14 Bergen Catholic (Oradell) the entire fourth quarter to win 14-9. Ca'si Thomas and Dante Deluca rushed for touchdowns to give the Ironmen a 14-0 first half lead.

In the fourth quarter the Crusaders moved into the Don Bosco Prep redzone multiple times and couldn't get into the endzone. Midway through the fourth quarter Jack Hinspeter made an interception inside the five-yard line to lock up the upset for Don Bosco Prep. 

No. 4 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) defeated Central (Phenix City, Ala.) 49-14 in the MaxPreps Game of the Week.



Jayden Wade, the No. 1 ranked player in the Class of 2028 ran for a touchdown and passed for four scores to wide receivers Osani Gayles, Eric McFarland, Zion White and Christian Ward.

Senior Louisville commit Le'Khy Thompkins rushed for two touchdowns.

Central was led by quarterback Bobby Coleman who threw touchdowns to Jayshaun Woodhouse and T.J. Ware.  

American Fork (Utah) topped No. 20 Lone Peak (Highland, Utah) 31-28 after kicker Jace Worthington drilled a game winning field goal.

The junior had missed a kick earlier, but drilled a 42-yarder to win with 23 seconds left.  

American Fork led by two touchdowns most of the night before Lone Peak tied up the game with three minutes left.



Prince Afu rushed for two touchdowns while Noah Behm scored on defense touchdown for the Knights.

Lone Peak was coming off an upset win over Corner Canyon last week. Cruz Christensen passed for two touchdowns and ran for another against American Fork and both scoring strikes went to Utah commit Kennan Pula

No. 25 Bixby came from behind to beat Jenks 66-35 in an Oklahoma rivalry that dates back to 1933.

Senior quarterback Carson Kirby threw six touchdown passes including three in the second half. Wideouts Cetcher DeHart and Emory Snyder each caught two touchdowns as the Spartans erased a 10-point lead to move to 4-0.
