Brianna Gabrielson commands the offense for Titans win

Recap: Tussey Mountain Titans vs. Mount Union Trojans

The Tussey Mountain Titans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 59-36 margin over Mount Union. Tussey Mountain has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Tussey Mountain's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brianna Gabrielson, who scored ten points along with four steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Gabrielson posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Adyson Weyandt, who scored 13 points along with two steals and two blocks.

Despite the loss, Mount Union still got an impressive performance from Maddie Dimoff, who scored 17 points.

Mount Union struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Tussey Mountain racked up 14 assists.

Tussey Mountain's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Mount Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Tussey Mountain will be playing at home against Claysburg-Kimmel at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Claysburg-Kimmel focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday. Mount Union on the road again on Wednesday and play against Moshannon Valley at 6:15 p.m. on January 24th.
