Softball Recap: Solon Comes Up Short

Solon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Delaware Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 on Monday.

Solon's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for West Delaware, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-10.

Solon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-0 defeat against Clear Creek-Amana on the 2nd. As for West Delaware, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Mt. Vernon on the 2nd.
