Softball Recap: Blue River Wins Going Away Against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder

Blue River won the last time they faced Logan View/Scribner-Snyder and things went their way on Tuesday too. Blue River put the hurt on Logan View/Scribner-Snyder with a sharp 10-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Blue River.

Abby Lindsley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tayja Slonecker, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Danica Watts was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Blue River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Logan View/Scribner-Snyder only managed five hits.

Blue River's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, they moved to 8-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Blue River and Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will both be playing Tekamah-Herman the next time they take the field. Blue River will host Tekamah-Herman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
