Softball Recap: Stroud Takes a Loss

Stroud and Pawhuska squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Stroud had to settle for second. They lost 13-7 to the Huskies. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Carlee Williams and Peyton Davis did some serious damage despite the final result: Williams went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run, while Davis went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Cami Wilson, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Stroud's loss dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Pawhuska, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-8.

Pawhuska has already played their next matchup, a 21-4 victory against Quapaw on the 25th. Hopefully Stroud paid attention to the Huskies' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Huskies at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
