Football Recap: West Central Area Comes Up Short on the Road Against Lake Park-Audubon

West Central Area had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 28-14 bruising from the Lake Park-Audubon Raiders. The Knights were right on the edge of victory: they outscored the Raiders in the fourth quarter 8-0.

Luca Beske was a one-man wrecking crew For Lake Park-Audubon. as he threw for 319 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.9% of his passes. 107 of Beske's passing yards were hauled in by Leif Shervey, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Central Area will welcome Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. The match will give the Knights their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Lake Park-Audubon, they will look to defend their home field on September 5 against Wadena-Deer Creek at 7:00 p.m.
