Baseball Recap: Calhoun County Comes Up Short

If Calhoun County was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Randolph-Clay on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars came up short against the Monroe Tornadoes on Wednesday, falling 20-5. The Cougars have struggled against the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Calhoun County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Monroe, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-16.

Calhoun County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monroe, they will square off against Macon County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
