Football Recap: Thrall Takes a Loss

Thrall managed to keep up with Johnson City until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tigers lost 41-18 to the Eagles. The Tigers were down 34-12 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Johnson City was led to victory by Wyatt Lorenzen and Heston Hohenberger. Lorenzen threw for 151 yards and three TDs, while Hohenberger rushed for 106 yards on only 11 carries.

Thrall's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Johnson City, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Thrall will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hempstead at 7:00 p.m. As for Johnson City, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on San Saba at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. The game will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
