Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Bell Eagles 46-7. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rough Riders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-4 back in December of 2024.

Bell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hailey De Loza led the charge by putting up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Destiny Ramos, who posted ten points.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Bell, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will welcome South East at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bell, they will be playing at home against Garfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
