Lyndon Institute faced Spaulding in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Vikings blew past the Crimson Tide 10-2. Considering the Vikings have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lyndon Institute has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Spaulding, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lyndon Institute will host North Country Union at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Spaulding, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Montpelier at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Crimson Tide are facing the Owls at the right time seeing as the Owls are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
